What is the movie's name?
Imitation Game.
"During World War II, mathematician Alan Turing tries to crack the enigma code with help from fellow mathematicians."~IMDb
Who is your favorite character in this movie, and why?
Turing by Benedict Cumberbatch.
If you are a huge fan of BBC Sherlocks Holmes, then you know how charming BC is, and in this movie, Turing is an intelligent but poor in social skills, you will be amazed by Benedict Cumberbatch's incredible acting.
What have you learned from this movie?
Nowadays, the LGBT right is still a controversial issue, not to mention the WW2 times.
I felt pity and sad about how society and government treated Turing as a monster, they ignored everything Turing has done for the country, only focused on his personal sexual orientation. It's a pathetic and wrongful thing.
Is there anything you want to do differently if you were the character?
Yes.
If I were anyone who is from the British government, I would just leave Turing alone, and not arrest him on trumped-up charge.
Did you learn anything new about you after watching this movie?
Be comprehensive.
Sometimes our values and believes come from social opinions and superstitions, and we just take in everything we got from others without thinking.
These irrational believes sometimes sabotage the relations between others or even make catastrophic damage.
Try to see from different angles, try to confront and suspect what you gain from others.
Which scene or song or any part of the movie that you like the best? Talk about it.
My favorite part of this movie is when Turing tries to show his friendliness and caring to his co-workers, he is shy and clumsy at showing his emotions, instead of saying thank you, he bought a bag of apples and sent to everyone. Everyone was surprised at his behavior, but all of them knew this is his unique way to express his gratefulness.
Additional comments?
Where there is Benedict Cumberbatch, where there is a good movie.
